It’s Friday!!! It’s Friday!!! Yea Yea!!! Yea Yea!!!

You knew I was going to start off with that didn’t you? 🙂

On this fun filled Friday I need to remind you that you have until Sunday at 6:00 pm (EST) to register for the giveaway mentioned in last Friday’s post.

I’ve been blogging daily on ZLifeBlog since I started it and I’ve really been enjoying it! But, we are coming into the “harvest season” at my job, which means I will be working longer days and more hours.

While I am very grateful to have my job, and a job that I enjoy, the harvest season also means that I may not be able to continue to blog daily.

I will do my best to blog daily, because I know it’s important to you! 😉 But just in case I don’t…. Well, I just don’t want you to worry about me and the ZMan, so I thought I should let you know. 🙂

Tonight is pizza night. YAY!

The rest of the weekend will be more spring cleaning, and I would like to try to get some seed potatoes in the ground, but I think it will be too wet.

Look at our little tomato plant sprouts… aren’t they cute!

Not a great picture (I know) but we have started about 30 plants that will provide tomato juice, pizza sauce, and spaghetti sauce for us through next winter. But let’s not talk about next winter!!!

These little plants remind me that warmer weather really is on the way. I love a homegrown tomato sandwich in the summertime. YUM!

Looking Forward…

I love our wood stove, but I have to tell you that when I was spring cleaning this weekend, washing curtains and wiping down the walls I wasn’t feeling the love….

I was thinking about this…

I think we are all ready for some better weather, flip flops, grilled dinners and relaxing in the warmth of summer.

Yep, I’m looking forward to it!!!

Friday Fun and A Giveaway

It’s Friday… It’s Friday… Yea Yea…. Yea Yea!!!

OK, look, I know I’m not one of these big bloggers who make a ton of money through advertising or write books and articles for big name magazines. No, I don’t have hundreds of readers every day. (not yet anyway) 😉

BUT, that doesn’t mean that I can’t give something away to my readers too. Right?

And, here it is….

A set of Pampered Chef measuring spoons.

There is a reason I picked the measuring spoons.

I can be heavy handed on things like putting detergent in the washer or dish washer, or when adding an ingredient to something I’m cooking. If I don’t measure then I’m sure to use too much of whatever it is that I’m using.

Using measuring spoons and cups has saved me quite a bit both in money and in disasters of recipes.

If you don’t believe me, then take that teaspoon you use to put the sugar in your coffee or tea in the morning and scoop out with it what you normally do, then pour it into the teaspoon measuring spoon. I’ll bet it fills it and runs over the sides.

HA! See, I told you.

A friend of mine said she was sure to save money in dog food because when she measured out a cup of food compared to what she had been scooping, it was closer to 2 cups of food for her dog, twice a day. Now, that’s a huge savings!
